For years, Casa Kobus existed as an idea before it became a place.
My parents first fell in love with Spello more than a decade ago, returning year after year and slowly becoming part of the community here. They made friends, found favorite cafés and restaurants, learned the streets by heart, and eventually began imagining what it would be like to have a home of their own.
That dream became Casa Kobus.
Today, it is a place our family can return to for years to come, and a place we can share with the travelers who come to Umbria with us. It gives us a different way to experience Spello, not simply as visitors, but through the everyday moments that make a place feel like home.
We feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to call this place home, and even more grateful for the people who have become part of our story along the way. The friends we’ve made in Spello, the welcoming community, and the travelers we’ve had the privilege of sharing Italy with have made Casa Kobus so much more meaningful than we ever imagined.
